First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether injecting lab-grown heart muscle cells into the heart during bypass surgery can help people with severe chronic heart failure. About 36 adults with damaged heart tissue will receive the cells and be monitored for safety and heart function improvements. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible and safe, not yet to prove a cure.
