Stem cells tested to repair damaged hearts during surgery
NCT ID NCT07265349
Summary
This trial is testing whether injecting stem cells from umbilical cords directly into the heart muscle during bypass surgery can help repair damage and improve heart function in people with chronic heart failure. The study will involve 51 participants who are already scheduled for bypass surgery and have reduced heart pumping ability. Researchers aim to find a safe and effective dose while measuring improvements in heart strength, walking ability, and quality of life.
