Summary

This early-stage trial tests if replacing damaged eye cells with lab-grown stem cells can help people with dry age-related macular degeneration and geographic atrophy. About 20 adults aged 55 and older will receive a transplant of their own reprogrammed cells into one eye. The main goal is to check safety, and participants will take immune-suppressing drugs to prevent rejection.
