Stem cell eye drops tested for stubborn corneal injuries

NCT ID NCT06919081

Summary

This study is testing whether eye drops made from substances released by stem cells can help heal persistent corneal wounds that haven't responded to standard treatments. The trial will involve 24 adults with non-healing corneal defects who will use the experimental drops or a placebo for 8 weeks. Researchers will measure if the drops improve the eye's surface, reduce staining, and help close the wound.
