Stem cell shot aims to heal stubborn eye sores

NCT ID NCT05705024

Summary

This study is testing whether an injection of donor stem cells can help heal painful, non-healing sores on the surface of the eye (corneal ulcers). It will involve 38 adults whose eye sores have not improved after at least two weeks of standard treatments. Researchers will check if the injection helps close the wound, reduces scarring, and improves vision over 90 days.
