Stem cell shot could save eyes from chemical burns

NCT ID NCT07329569

Summary

This study is testing whether stem cell injections can help save eyes damaged by severe chemical burns. Adult patients who recently suffered a chemical burn to the eye may receive one or two injections of donor stem cells. Researchers will check if the treatment is safe and if it prevents the eye from deteriorating or becoming blind over 12 months.
