First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a tissue-engineered bone made from the patient's own bone marrow stem cells grown on a special scaffold. It is implanted into the hip to repair early-stage avascular necrosis (bone death) of the femur head. The goal is to stop the bone from collapsing and avoid the need for a total hip replacement. The trial enrolls 30 adults aged 20–65 with non-traumatic ARCO stage II femoral head necrosis.
