Summary
This study looks at whether a low or moderate dose of statin works better and causes fewer muscle side effects in healthy adults aged 70 and older who have high cholesterol or heart disease risk. About 724 participants will take either a low or moderate statin dose and be followed for up to 48 months. The goal is to find the safest and most effective way to prevent heart attacks and strokes in older adults.
