Cholesterol pill tested as potential prostate cancer helper

Summary
This study aims to understand how a common cholesterol-lowering drug (simvastatin) might help fight prostate cancer by changing the immune environment inside the tumor. Researchers will give the drug to some men for 8 weeks before their scheduled prostate removal surgery and compare their tumor tissue to men who did not take the drug. The goal is to learn if the drug makes immune cells inside the prostate less suppressive and more active against the cancer.
