Common heart drug could be new weapon against migraines

NCT ID NCT06248671

Summary

This study is testing whether atorvastatin, a medication typically used to lower cholesterol, can help prevent migraine attacks in adults with episodic migraine. Researchers want to confirm if results from smaller studies hold true in this larger trial with 450 participants. They'll compare two different doses (20mg and 40mg daily) against a placebo to see which works best and has the fewest side effects.
