First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests a caregiver-led reading program called Sit Together and Read (STAR) in 320 children aged 4 to 5 with developmental language disorder. Researchers want to see if STAR improves literacy skills right after the program and up to two years later. They also test whether small rewards or encouraging texts help caregivers complete more reading sessions. The study does not offer a treatment or cure, but aims to understand how to support early learning.
