Summary
This study tested a 15-week reading program called Sit Together and Read (STAR) for 20 children aged 4-5 who are being raised by relatives (kinship caregivers) because their parents used opioids. The program was designed to improve children's reading skills and help caregivers feel more confident in their parenting. The study used a waitlist design to compare outcomes between groups.
