Summary
This study tested a 15-week reading program called Sit Together and Read (STAR) for 4-5 year old children being raised by grandparents or other relatives because their parents used opioids. The program aimed to improve children's reading skills and help caregivers feel more confident. Twenty children and their kinship caregivers took part, with some starting the program right away and others waiting.
