First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether using a reinforcement patch on the stapler during stomach cancer surgery can lower the chance of leaks or other complications. About 382 adults with gastric cancer will be randomly assigned to get either the patch or a standard stapler. The main goal is to see if the patch reduces the rate of anastomotic leakage within 30 days after surgery.
