Can a simple wipe stop dangerous germs from reaching babies?

NCT ID NCT06541145

Summary

This study aims to see if a simple 5-day skin and nose treatment for pregnant women can reduce the amount of Staph bacteria they carry and lower the chance of passing it to their newborn. Researchers will measure bacteria levels in 20 mother-baby pairs and ask mothers about their experience with the treatment. The goal is to find a safe, easy way to protect vulnerable infants from harmful bacterial infections early in life.
