First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tested whether a toothpaste with stannous fluoride is better at reducing bad breath than a standard fluoride toothpaste. 49 adults brushed twice daily with each toothpaste in separate periods. Trained judges rated their breath odor at several time points. The goal was to see if the stannous fluoride toothpaste provided better breath freshening.
