Summary

This study looked at whether walking downstairs (instead of upstairs) can improve heart health, body composition, and strength in obese, inactive women. Twenty-four women aged 18-50 with a BMI of 25-40 took part in an 8-week program, walking stairs twice a week. Researchers measured changes in cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, body fat, and muscle strength before and after the program.
