Could walking downstairs be the secret exercise for better health?
NCT ID NCT06574854
Summary
This study tested whether walking down stairs is as good as or better than walking up stairs for improving health in obese, inactive women. Twenty-four participants were split into two groups, with one group walking down stairs and the other walking up, twice a week for eight weeks. Researchers measured changes in heart health, fitness, body fat, and strength to see which type of stair walking was more beneficial.
