Doctors question need for extra surgery before major cancer operation
NCT ID NCT07480005
Summary
This study is checking if a small, keyhole surgery is still necessary to find hidden cancer spread before a major operation for liver, pancreas, or bile duct cancers. It will look at data from 350 patients to see if modern scans like CT and MRI are now good enough on their own. The goal is to help doctors decide when this extra step is truly needed, potentially avoiding unnecessary procedures for patients.
