Summary
This completed study tested a 16-hour training program called SPECTROM for staff and caregivers who work with adults with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health disorders. The training focused on managing challenging behaviors. Researchers measured changes in participants' knowledge and attitudes before and after the training using two questionnaires. The study involved 55 staff members from group homes and a psychiatric center.
