Radiation zaps away chronic pain in early trial

Summary
This study tests a precise radiation treatment (stereotactic radiosurgery) to relieve long-lasting pain in the chest or belly wall. About 18 adults whose pain hasn't been helped by standard treatments will receive a single dose of radiation to the nerve causing the pain. The goal is to find the safest dose that reduces pain with minimal side effects.
