New study pits spyglass against shock waves for tough pancreatic stones

This study compared two methods for removing large pancreatic duct stones that couldn't be cleared with standard endoscopy. One method uses a tiny camera called SpyGlass to break up stones, while the other uses shock waves from outside the body (ESWL). The trial involved 116 patients and looked at how well each method cleared the stones and how safe they were.
