Spit test could catch lung cancer early

NCT ID NCT07168993

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-invasive test called FlowPath Lung that analyzes a person's sputum (mucus coughed up from the lungs) to see if it can accurately detect early-stage lung cancer. It is for people at high risk for lung cancer who already have a small lung nodule found on a CT scan. The goal is to see if this simple test can help doctors figure out which nodules are cancerous without more invasive procedures.
