Summary

This study is testing an investigational drug called SPT-300 to see if it can help reduce symptoms in adults with major depression, including those who also feel anxious. About 360 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the real drug or a placebo (inactive substance) for 42 days. Researchers will measure changes in depression severity and overall illness to assess the drug's effectiveness and safety.
