Summary

This study looked at whether a special sports program, designed with an understanding of trauma, could help teens aged 14-18 with substance use disorder. 120 teens took part, with half joining an 8-week program of sports and group talks, while the other half received no extra activities. The goal was to see if the program could improve their ability to manage emotions, feel better about themselves, and get along with peers.
