Summary
This study is testing whether adding an experimental drug called SPN-821 to standard antidepressant medication helps adults with major depressive disorder. Researchers will enroll 230 participants who are currently taking antidepressants but still experiencing significant depression symptoms. The study will compare SPN-821 against a placebo over 4 weeks to see if it improves depression scores more effectively.
