Summary

This study tests spironolactone, a drug used for high blood pressure, in 20 adults with alcohol use disorder. Participants stay at a clinic for four 7-day periods, taking the drug or a placebo, and then drink alcohol under supervision. The goal is to see how the body handles the drug and if it safely reduces alcohol's effects.
