New study aims to unlock secrets of immune tolerance in hemophilia a kids

NCT ID NCT07539402

First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at how children with hemophilia A (a bleeding disorder) keep their immune system from attacking the clotting medicine they need. Researchers will follow 500 children under 18 who use a newer type of preventive treatment called non-factor therapy. By taking blood and stool samples over time, they hope to learn why some children develop antibodies that block treatment while others do not. This is an observational study, meaning no new treatments are tested.
