First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study is testing a device called the Spiration Valve System for people with severe emphysema, a lung disease that makes breathing very hard. The valves are placed in the lungs to help air move better. Researchers will follow 150 adults for up to 3 years to see if the treatment is safe and helps them breathe easier.
