First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to spinning classes improves heart and lung fitness more than steady cycling in sedentary college men. Thirty men who hadn't exercised regularly in the past six months took part. Researchers measured changes in oxygen use, breathing, and other fitness markers to see which workout style worked better.
