Simpler back surgery challenges need for complex fusion
NCT ID NCT07410871
Summary
This study compared two surgical approaches for older adults with a narrowed spinal canal and a slipped vertebra. It tested whether a simpler, less invasive decompression surgery works as well as a more complex surgery that adds metal rods and screws to fuse the spine. The goal was to see which approach better relieves back and leg pain and improves daily function.
