New radiation approach aims to ease spine cancer pain with fewer side effects
NCT ID NCT04802603
Summary
This study is testing a different way to deliver radiation to cancer that has spread to the spine. Instead of giving one or two high-dose treatments, doctors are spreading the same total radiation dose over five smaller treatments. The goal is to see if this gentler approach is easier for patients to tolerate while still effectively controlling pain and improving quality of life. The study will enroll 60 patients with painful spinal metastases.
