New radiation battle against spine cancer pain

Summary

This study compares three different radiation therapy approaches to relieve pain caused by cancer that has spread to the spine. Researchers will randomly assign 240 patients to receive either standard external beam radiation or one of two more targeted, higher-dose radiation treatments. The main goal is to see which approach provides the best and longest-lasting pain relief over 3 to 12 months.
