First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at how different types of anesthesia affect the body's inflammation levels during kidney stone surgery. Researchers will compare spinal anesthesia (numbing the lower body) with general anesthesia (being fully asleep) in 90 adults. By measuring simple blood markers before and after surgery, they hope to learn which method causes less immune system stress.
