Back surgery showdown: which operation works best?
NCT ID NCT06335511
Summary
This study compared two common surgeries for a pinched nerve in the lower back (lumbar spinal stenosis). Researchers followed 50 patients to see if a simpler surgery (decompression) worked as well as a more complex one (decompression with fusion) for improving pain, function, and quality of life. The goal was to gather evidence to help doctors and patients choose the best surgical option for their specific needs.
