Gel tested to stop painful scarring after spine operations
NCT ID NCT07153822
Summary
This study tested whether a new collagen gel called Collabarrier® works as well as an existing gel to prevent painful scar tissue from forming after back surgery. It involved 69 adults having their first surgery for a herniated disc or spinal stenosis. Researchers compared MRI scans and pain levels six weeks after surgery to see if the new gel was effective.
