Zap to walk again? Non-Invasive spine stimulation tested for stroke recovery

NCT ID NCT05167786

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive electrical stimulation applied to the spinal cord, combined with walking practice, can improve walking ability and balance in people who have leg weakness from a stroke. Researchers will work with 115 adults who had a stroke at least six months ago to find the best stimulation settings and see if the treatment leads to short-term and long-term improvements in how they walk. The goal is to help people walk more symmetrically and efficiently.
