Zapping the spine to stop falls in Parkinson's patients

NCT ID NCT07322458

Summary

This study is testing whether electrical stimulation of the spinal cord can help people with Parkinson's disease and related disorders who experience a dangerous drop in blood pressure when they stand up. It will compare two types of stimulation—one that requires surgery and one that does not—in 40 participants. The main goal is to see if this approach can improve blood pressure control and reduce the risk of falls over two years.
