Smart spinal implant aims to tame debilitating chemo pain

Summary

This study is testing a special spinal cord stimulator for people with long-lasting nerve pain caused by chemotherapy. The device is implanted and works by automatically adjusting electrical pulses to the spinal cord in real-time, aiming to reduce pain. Researchers will measure changes in pain levels and quality of life over 12 months in 20 participants who have not found relief from standard medications.
