Zap to the back: can a jolt help steady your step after spine surgery?

NCT ID NCT07298460

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive electrical stimulation treatment, applied to the spine through the skin, can help improve balance in people who have had surgery for a degenerative neck spinal cord condition. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either real stimulation at one or two locations on their back, or a sham (fake) treatment, while doing balance and walking exercises over 4 weeks. The goal is to see if the stimulation makes the training more effective at improving stability and walking, and to check if it's safe and practical for future larger studies.
