Spinal shot for surgery pain: morphine tested for longer relief

NCT ID NCT06319859

Summary

This study tested whether adding a small dose of morphine to the standard spinal anesthetic (bupivacaine) provides better and longer-lasting pain relief after hernia repair surgery. Researchers compared the two approaches in 50 adults to see which one delayed the need for additional painkillers and reduced overall pain after the operation. The goal was to find a safer, more effective way to manage post-surgery pain.
