Back cracking may keep stroke patients on their feet

NCT ID NCT07436975

First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether a gentle spinal manipulation (like a chiropractic adjustment) can improve balance, reduce fall risk, and increase chest mobility in people who have had a stroke. About 52 adults with chronic stroke will receive both the real treatment and a sham procedure in a crossover design. The goal is to see if this hands-on approach can help them stand steadier and feel safer from falls.
