First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at whether spinal manipulation combined with connective tissue massage can reduce pain, menstrual symptoms, depression, and sleep problems in women with primary dysmenorrhea (painful periods). 75 women were split into three groups: one received the full treatment, one got a sham version, and one got no treatment. After six weekly sessions, researchers measured changes in pain, symptoms, mood, and sleep quality.
