New bone graft tested to help heal spinal fusions
NCT ID NCT05037968
Summary
This study compares two different bone graft materials used during spinal fusion surgery for patients with severe back or leg pain from degenerative disc disease. One hundred patients will have each material placed on a different side of their spine during surgery to see which one helps new bone grow better. Researchers will follow patients for one year, checking how well the spine fuses together and if pain and function improve.
