Smart implant tries to tune out chronic pain

NCT ID NCT06229470

Summary

This study is testing a new type of spinal cord stimulator for people with chronic pain in their back or limbs. The device is 'smart'β€”it listens to the body's nerve signals and automatically adjusts its stimulation to try to provide better pain relief. Researchers are enrolling 250 people who are already planning to get this device to see how well it works and if the nerve measurements it takes are useful for guiding treatment.
