Summary

This study looked at new ways to detect reduced blood flow to the spinal cord after surgery for a thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm. The goal is to find a test that can be used after surgery, when patients are awake, to catch problems early and prevent paralysis. Researchers tested nerve signals and oxygen levels in back muscles in 50 patients.
