Zapping the spine to help people walk again after injury

NCT ID NCT07375745

Summary

This study is testing whether adding gentle electrical stimulation to the spine during walking therapy helps people recover leg movement better after a recent spinal cord injury. Researchers will compare the combination therapy to walking therapy alone in 40 participants who are within 6 months of their injury. The main goal is to see if the combined approach is safe and leads to greater improvements in leg strength and walking function.
