First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new device that delivers special cells (LCTOPC1) directly to the spinal cord in people with traumatic spinal cord injury. The goal is to see if the device is safe and can help replace damaged cells, potentially improving movement and quality of life. Ten participants with recent or chronic injuries will be enrolled, and they will also take immunosuppressant medication to prevent rejection of the cells.
