Back brace study seeks to map its impact on growing spines

NCT ID NCT06569030

Summary

This study aimed to understand how a specific type of back brace (Chêneau orthosis) affects the 3D alignment of the spine and legs in teenagers with idiopathic scoliosis. Researchers followed 30 teens, aged 10-18, for 6 months, using special low-dose X-rays and balance tests. The goal was to gather detailed information to potentially improve how braces are designed and used to control the spinal curve.
