New device monitors Baby's stress during C-Section anesthesia
NCT ID NCT07333729
Summary
This study aims to understand how spinal anesthesia affects a baby's nervous system during planned C-sections. Researchers will use a special device to continuously track the baby's heart rate and calculate a 'Fetal Stress Index' while also monitoring the mother's blood pressure and stress levels. The goal is to gather information that could help predict and prevent complications like low maternal blood pressure or baby distress during delivery.
