Summary
This phase 2 trial tests whether the drug SPI-1005 can prevent hearing loss and reduce side effects like tinnitus and vertigo in adults receiving a cochlear implant. Forty participants will take either the drug or a placebo for 6 months, starting 2 days before surgery. The study will compare safety and hearing outcomes between the two groups.
